Hi All,

I think I might have bricked/ semi-bricked my 4-old-days blade...

The model is Blade N880 and it is a CDMA/EvDo phone using 800MHz

What happened is that I have install a GSM ROM into my phone

Now the phone cannot recognized anything that I put in the RUIM slot...

is there a way to solve this ? I think I need a stock CDMA ROM and flash it using FTM mode, am I right? CMIIW...

any helps will be extremely appreciated... thank you...

GSM ROM that I accidentally installed is Swedish_Spring

strangely, build.prop from Swedish Spring and my original ROM contain the same text

Did you backup first?

Don't do anything in FTM mode, seriously, you'll break it more. Just use clockwork.

You need to get a cdma rom that you can install in clockwork, there are none here, try an indonesian forum, if you didn't take a backup.

hi wbaw...

i did make a backup using clockwork manual...

I tried to restore my backup.. but the problem is still there....

There is no stock ROM available yet in Indonesian forum, sadly....

I have a question though... Can we create a stock ROM out of a stock device ? what kind of software should I use?

If there is a way to create the stock ROM, then there should be my solution right ? what do you think? Thanks a bunch...

That's right. you need to stay away from firmware flashing in ftm mode/TPS at all costs, given that you have a cdma version.

oneclickromdump should do it. Get someone else wiht the same model to do a romdump and post it. Once its packaged you can flash it back with clockworkmod.

if you post it on the stock ROM thread (which you should do regardless, for the benefit of others), then sebastian404 will probably get around to doing it at some point. In the meantime, try downloading one of the other stock ROMs, and just replacing the .img files in it with the ones from your dump, before flashing it. data.img is the same as userdata.img, just rename them as necessary.

i am just wondering, will installing the stock ROM back definitely cure my phone? or is it still 50-50 chance ?

does it ever happen before this? installing GSM ROM over CDMA phone or vice versa , on other android phone types of course....

If the Rom has been dumped correctly and you are in fact using the same model of phone as the dump, 100%.

I've not heard much feedback from cdma versions, in fact I didn't know they existed until recently, but a CDMA phone has to be quite different from a GSM phone, and you can expect ROMs to be incompatible.
