Game not installing.

Hi there, good morning.

I bought this game from the market a couple of weeks ago, but never got to install it.

I've sent an email to the developer, but never had an answer, and I didn't get a refund because when I bought it I didn't try to install it straight away, I had to leave my place and try it later at night.

The game is Bang Bang Racing THD.

I've purchased and installed many other games, but this one in particular doesn't install, it looks like is going to do it but after a few seconds it stops and never gets to the end.

I don't mind too much the money I've lost with it, I just want to be able to play it, that's all.

I have the demo version installed and running without problems on Android 2.2 (My Ganbarou ROM). Never tried the paid version though!

Which ROM are you using?

UPDATE:

Tried to download the full version and couldn't download as well. It starts to download, then suddenly stops. But lucky me, I could get the refund.

Hi,

To get games over ~40 meg, cache needs to be moved as there is not enough space for the download.

I've got bangbangracing (and others) working by using the following script within gscript:

umount /cache

busybox mount -o rw,remount -t rootfs /

rmdir /cache

mkdir /data/cache

ln -s /data/cache /cache

Copy & paste the above into gscript, give it a name and su rights and save. Tap it to run.

The next time you need. The script, it'll moan saying the folder /data/cache already exists. You can use this script, which leaves out the mkdir /data/cache bit:

umount /cache

busybox mount -o rw,remount -t rootfs /

rmdir /cache

ln -s /data/cache /cache

Things like this are one of the reasons I chose this tablet/OS, the comunity.

I downloaded the app GScript Lite, copied the script, run it, and all is good now, I finally downloaded the game and played it.

The game itself is great, although it hangs when I want to get out of it, not sure why, but it's ok, I just press the back button a couple of times and I'm out :P
