Hi guys,

I currently use CM7 on my ZTE Blade and to be honest it's quite crap. It always crashes and freezes and restarts and runs out of battery quick... So I was wondering if I would have a better experience on Swedish Spring? Any other suggestions? I don't particularly want to revert to Jellyfish!

Thanks, Oliver.

These are your options

For both SS and CM7 switch to a better launcher (Launcher Pro / Go Launcher EX / ADW Launcher EX) or for CM7 at least use the stock launcher not ADW (which is total crap at least on the blade - perhaps the main (Ones who can commit without review) maintainers of CM7 all use more powerful phones so it doesn't matter to them).

1. Compile CM7 from the gingerbread-release branch (Should fix most of the bugs but I don't think its well tested really at all).

2. Switch to a nightly. (Latest is pretty decent). Might need a wipe (I did recently for unknown reasons).

3. Rebase Swedish Spring on a newer stock rom. (The unbranded one from zte sweden is probably as good a candidate as any).

4. Run SS (I think SS is about as buggy as CM7 different bugs but some common ones.)

(I don't think you will be 100% happy with either).

Well i use cm green v5, ist basicaly cm7.

I had SS before, and it was great in every way, especally baterie.

I just changed because of Open VPN support, and out of curiosity.(Maybe i change back, i decide this week)

I had Battery problems too, but after recalibrating the batterie, its pretty ok now(i only need to disable this wifi fix, cuase its draining the batterie)

I can recomend swedish spring, but i have no real problems with cm7 N98 either.

But befor changing try recalibrating the batery.

Try installing a more current version. If you're finding the latest unstable then you're doing something wrong!
