Hi I was wondering if it would be possible to add tablet tweaks similar to the CM7 ones with the launcher at the bottom on corvus5? It would be great to have those features or a

fast and stable ROM.

The Fuji ROM has this included. Allyou need really is VTL Launcher anyway.

Sorry I didn't mean launcher actually meant the taskbar thats usually at the top with buttons, in CM7 it stays there even when full screen

If the Corvus ROM had the option to prevent the taskbar from being hidden then it would be the ultimate ROM IMHO.

CM7 is OK but its slower than the Corvus ROM (it feels laggy, corvus ROM doesnt) and I had trouble with the accelerometer in games.

The perfect mix would be ...

Corvus ROM @1.4 ghz with SetCPU and the tweak above.

ADW launcher (yes it isn't free but its only like £2 and its deffinately worth the £2)

ADW honeycomb theme

Custom boot animation from this website (search 'boot animations')

Smart keyboard pro (again not free but only a couple of £'s and deffinately worth it)

Now THATS the device Advent should have gone to market with!

With VTL Launcher you can set it to hide or reveal the statusbar with a swipe up or down.

It's under VTL Settings > General Behavior > Swipe Down Actions > Show / Hide Statusbar

Phill

Edit: ignore, misunderstood. Sorry

Yeah this is by far the best ROM for Vega, I found CM7 just too buggy to use. I'm wondering whether the tablet tweaks are just underlying settings that are changed (e.g to show status bar at bottom and at all times) or is something that is in the CM7 kernel or something (im not even gonna pretend I know what goes into a ROM). I did use VTL launcher but it has a couple of annoying issues. With the bar at the bottom then could make a Honeycomb style UI, I really like the theme of the EEE transformer, just looks cleaner.

Use VTL launcher with the free Honeycomb theme from the market... Works for me ;) until VegaComb is finalised.

Well some of the things in tablet tweaks for CM7 are setting changes but some of it is android 2.2 versus 2.3.4 which is one of the main differences. Personally with CM7 I haven't had any performance issues for a long time certainly not on the last few releases at least unless its not been installed properly. The only biggish bug is the wifi issue but thats not a deal breaker because its so easy to just reset the wireless in the notifications menu.

Corvus rom would be nice with some of the CM7 tweaks but I don't think a lot of them are going to be possible as quite a lot of them are also cyanogen things so it would need some major overhauls to get it working and switching the rom base from the advent vega standard update to cyanogen would be the quickest way but it has loads of issues and in the end it would just be CM7.

I would rather have corvus and newbe5 working on honeycomb and just live with the CM7 issues until its finished. Although I would mention that CM7 is on nightlies now so its always worth trying the latest one.

Def +1 on this i've just gone back to corvus 5 from VC and Cynagen 7, corvus 5 feels so quick and everything works great I even like the icons, if only it had more tweaks and cynagen 7 notification bar on bottom left.

I've messaged on VC 1.7 with a sort of plea but in all honesty i reckon the devs are really busy trying to get VC up to scratch all though IMHO it will be months before it is really usable for long periods of time.
