Guest ukjeff27 Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 Legend has similar performance but better build quality and camera? am i right?
Guest Pelemane Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 (edited) Legend has less ram and worse display. Edited June 13, 2011 by Pelemane
Guest k0zmic Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 Legend has less ram and worse display. Yep, but IMO it has superior Build Quality and a nicer Camera. It'd still go for the Blade though.
Guest k0zmic Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 Battery life lasts around a day for me with moderate/heavy use. No Sense UI. It's a HTC thing. However, there are themes and replacement apps for the Sense stuff.
Guest Pondlife Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 I wouldn't want a screen with lower resolution than this any more. It'd be like going back to vhs tapes from blu ray.
Guest Denzo Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 If I had a choice for the same price I would take Legend, better build quality, has gorilla glass, aluminium unibody and its HTC, so there are less worries something will go wrong. Its true it doesn't have 512 ram but 384 as said on GSM arena is fine if you ask me. Screen is 3.2" so lower resolution is less noticeable and honestly, I've handled phones with 320x480 its not that bad. Also Legend has good quality AMOLED with 16m colors.
Guest slitz Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 (edited) Good to know it still comes with AMOLED but that resolution is really no excuse just because it's 3.2", my HTC Touch Pro had a 2.8" display with a 480x640 resolution. But after having owned the Desire Z for a while now I'm in love with HTC Sense, all those fancy text editing features in 2.3 were already there in HTC Sense! I much prefer the magnifying glass selection to the 2.3 selector, I generally use the optical trackpad a lot more than I thought, it's a shame there won't be any future keyboard phones with a trackball/pad on GSM anytime soon. HTC Sense truly isn't just a launcher replacement, it's more like a modification like CM7. In my opinion a smaller resolution helps in the performance of the device, less things to render on the screen. But if you want to browse large websites or you want to do gaming you're probably better off with the OSF because of the resolution advantage it currently has, though once qHD starts becoming common this resolution will be redundant. Typing may feel better on a larger screen as well so that may be a plus to the OSF. A friend of mine has the Xperia X10 Mini Pro and when I compared the menu performance it's much smoother than my OSF which would occasionally pause for a splitsecond when scrolling the app drawer (not really noticeable when used in the real world), although that was using Sony Ericsson's Timescape interface. But if you already have the OSF and want to swap it for the Legend, I would advise not to do that now unless you really need any outstanding feature of the Legend (which won't have Flash either).
