I am interested in the development of android games.

Can someone point me in the right direction for tutorials, and/or tell me what mechanism should i use?

Googles developer website developer.android.com is a good place to start with fundamentals.

LibGDX is a good way of developing games. Dont bring out another doodlejump clone though.

don't worry, i will not try to copy or clone any game. I will try to do something new. Even if i will need a year to do it. :)
