Guest kenelm Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 I noticed that my SMS apps always being killed in recent Gingerbread builds from the community. No matter Handcent SMS or ChompSMS, they both can be easily killed by the system. I used "Modern low memory settings" in APP2SD GUI, and my Autokiller Memory Manager setting is "6 12 16 30 35 40", it's not a aggressive settings and my SMS keep alive in the older builds, say first version of Gingerbread Kang. I don't know whether the cause was from ROM or the APP. Now my work around is set the stock SMS app to be persistent in Cyanogen Settings and use it for notification. Does anyone have the same experience?
Guest Andy__P Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 Are you saying you use an additional Autokiller App? You don't need that
Guest kenelm Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 Are you saying you use an additional Autokiller App? You don't need that Yes, I did. The app only change the Out Of Memory threshold value, not really act to kill apps. Even I remove the Autokiller app, my SMS apps still killed by the system. =(
