Guest mrswilliams1510 Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 Right so I finally managed to root the phone after a day trying to find tinyurl/unroot not uroot! That will teach me. How do I actually remove the stuff like orange wed, I have gone to the applications and clicked on orange wed but it wont let me remove it (well not that I can see). Excuse if I am not using the correct terminolgy this is a big step up from my old school nokia! What do I need to do next, I have quickly read about android 2.2/sweedish spring(?) what will all that do and whats best to get. Thank you. I have had a look around the forum but I am confused.com at the moment. Thanks Sam
Guest k0zmic Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 (edited) Have you read this thread? http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...eginners-guide/ You'd be at step 2 so just download Titanium Backup which installs that BusyBox automatically. Then open Titanium, follow instructions to install BusyBox. Next click on Filters and hit system and press 'apply'. Now you will only see System apps. So now you can just install any of the things that are listed on that thread by clicking them and pressing uninstall. Edited June 15, 2011 by k0zmic
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 To be honest it is much faster to just install clockworkmod and then flash your rom rather than root + titanium + busybox + remove apps Basically I recommend to just recommend to forget about the step you are on (dont worry being halfway through it wont do anything bad) and installing clockwork recovery and then a ROM. (see the guide [stickied] for more info) But if you want to do things the "proper" way then go ahead.

I'd suggest backing up the apps you wish to remove, as some which seem innocuous might be necessary for other functions, or you might still want them in the future. Titanium should be good for this as well.
