Hi, I have seen a Blade Gingerbread ROM on the XDA forums

Link to XDA thread

has anyone tried this ROM or know anything about it? I have PM'd the dev and while waiting for a response I thought I would ask in this more familiar forum.

Thanks.

Anil

Doesn't seem to mention that in that thread which seems a bit off.

Second thing is the list of "Software in this rom" is CyanogenMod 7.

Doh! ;)

Didn't bother to read what apps they'd shoved in there, thought it would be mentioned more prominently. Seems an odd way to do it, but fair enough I guess.

Still not sure I completely see the point in roms based off cm7 whilst it's still changing constantly

Hi Pondlife,

I got a reply from the dev/tweaker of the ROM;

"Hello friend, my base rom is Cyanogen mod 7 + Tweaks for me...

The second version is uploading. 2 bugs repaired

Thanks!"

maybe there was some tweaks he wanted for himself? But he has bugs too, no big surprise there, if he can code why not help Cyanogen? That way everybody benefits by getting a bug free ROM quicker.

Oh well, Swedish Spring is excellent and has given me zero issues, it's simply the nerd in me saying "ooh look, a newer ROM", whereas the pragmatist in me says "Gingerbread has some great features, but is it worth giving up reliability for?". The answer is no, wait for Cyanogen to fix the remaining issues.

Anil.

I'd shut the pragmatist in the cupboard and get a CM7 nightly. ;)

Be nice to know which CM7 versions the two versions of this are based on.
