Have either of you got Data / Sync disabled?

Are the google talk settings correct? (Auto sign-in, mobile indicator, etc)

Is latitude still working correctly (If you use it)

Seems very odd :S

Also try the web-based GTalk, see if that works or if you can identify the problem device ;)

Have you tried rebooting both devices? Does market still work correctly?

Have you tried clearing the data for google talk and reentering you account information?

i've gone into apps, forced a close, then cleared data for talk, but just signs in again, never asks me for my info again, i guess it's tied in with the overall google account?

I am having the same issue. Talk goes to the computer, but not to the phone. Has been this way for a couple weeks now. I have rebooted the phone. Cleared Dalvich (I am sure miss spelled) cleared talk data. But nothing has worked. Sync is turned on and I have tried turning it off and back on.

I have not gone to that extreme yet. I have backed down to 1.8.1 but that did not fix the issue. Logged off tbe computer sent chat from phone then had someone reply but it never shows up. I was trying to avoid a factory reset.

So it seems my sync is not working properly. Erroring out. From what I have read, sync is needed.
