gingerbread keyboard

Hi i was just wondering on the gb keyboard, is it possible to remove the period button beside the spacebar? I keep pressing it and its really annoying. And the LG keyboard buttons are so small that i enjoy using the gb keyboard so much more. i tired downloading other keyboards on the market but they all have the period button beside the space bar.
