Guest CharlesBrown Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 I've been using Myplayer (version v0.99) to access BBC iPlayer for the last few months - it all worked seamlessly until I installed Swedish Spring - it lost sound but after searching on here I found a solution and all was well again. In the last week or so - it lost the radio part of iPlayer and now the tv streams - it still allows live streams just not the iPlayer streams - it states on the Blade unable to access media streams could be ISP blocking port 554 I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling but no use. Any ideas? This was an excellent app that I used to catch up in quieter times.
Guest Pondlife Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 It's not been working for me either for last few days, almost since I praised it on another thread, doh!
Guest Tony Sidaway Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 I had it installed for a bit, but when I finally got around to trying it out none of the streams worked so I removed it from my phone.
Guest Maz2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Report Posted June 19, 2011 It has never worked for me. Not on TV or on radio. Nada. Same error message as the OP.
Guest Bounceonit Posted June 19, 2011 Report Posted June 19, 2011 (edited) Just checked and it has stopped working for me as well (V1.9), although the live streaming still works.O2 did block Myplayer when the world cup was on, maybe with tennis coming up the have done it again.Im with giffgaff and they use the O2 network. Guest thomasboyd Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 I'm also on 02 and noticed this app stopped working but i've just checked again and 'updated' the app provided by skynetindustries It now 'works' again sort of.. No bbc channels, but it has got channel5, C4, ITV and adverts... I've installed 1.04 of the real bbc iplayer succesfully but it requires a wifi connection to stream any broadcasts http://android.modaco.com/topic/349589-please-give-me-a-link-to-download-bbc-iplayer-android-app-for-3g/page__p__1869540__hl__iplayer+download__fromsearch__1#entry1869540 needs the working version of flash for the zte blade http://android.modaco.com/topic/347371-new-flash-version-works-perfectly-on-orange-sanfrancisco/page__st__20__p__1826269__hl__iplayer+download__fromsearch__1#entry1826269 Just checked and it has stopped working for me as well (V1.9), although the live streaming still works.O2 did block Myplayer when the world cup was on, maybe with tennis coming up the have done it again.Im with giffgaff and they use the O2 network.
Guest bladebuddy Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 Will not work on rooted phones. New regulations brought in Google it
Guest thomasboyd Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 Is there a way to get the offical Iplayer to work over gsm and not need wifi? Will not work on rooted phones. New regulations brought in Google it
Guest drobson67 Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) I put IPlayer on the wife's blade and it works although it needs a wifi connection, the device is rooted and has the arm6 11.0.1.152 version of flash installed which I got from a link on this forum. IPlayer wouldn't appear in the market so I downloaded it from a link on the XDA Forum. Edited April 9, 2012 by drobson67
Guest thomasboyd Posted April 10, 2012 Report Posted April 10, 2012 Seems it might be possible to trick Iplayer by turning on your phones wifi hotspot and connecting to itself Haven't tried it yet but will test http://joshsunshine.me.uk/2011/02/10/iplayers-wi-fi-restriction.html
Guest thomasboyd Posted November 8, 2012 Report Posted November 8, 2012 I tried the above and it didnt work. Does anyone have any way to using BBC Iplayer over a G3 connection without Wifi?
