Guest RussellS Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 Hi, today I have updated my phone from Gen1 to Gen2 and installed CyanogenMod 7.0.3 following the guide in the CM Wiki. As instructed I used ClockWorkMod to install the CyanogenMod zip from SD card andf then installed the GAPPS zip file in the same way. When I rebooted the phone it asked me which Google apps I wanted to install so I ticked the relevant options but none of the Google apps seem to be present on the phone. Have I done something wrong and, if so, what can I do to get the apps installed. I have tried searching both here and on the CyanogenMod forums. Someone else did have the same problem on the CyanogenMod forums but there were no replies and I can't find anything relevant here. Any ideas anyone. Thanks
Guest k0zmic Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 (edited) It sounds as if you are doing the right thing. Although, I would recommend you update to a newer nightly. 7.0.x releases are quite old and a bit buggy. Try N104. Full wipe from recovery, go into mounts and storage and format system. Then flash N104. After reboot. Let it complete the first boot. Then reboot into recovery and install Gapps. Edited June 18, 2011 by k0zmic
Guest RussellS Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 Thanks, I'll give that a go. I'll report back later.
Guest RussellS Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 Thanks for your advice. I now have N104 installed along with the Google apps. Everything is looking fine and dandy.
