Guest ohio66 Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 Hi I just loaded AVG anti virus on my San Francisco with JJRSL9 and the first thing it wanted to do was uninstall my Superuser APP. I have uninstalled it as I do not wish that app to be removed! Why would AVG have done this? and does it mean it is a waste of time installing AVG? Any help appreciated
Guest k0zmic Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 Because they think it's a security risk. Look on the SuperUser website for more info. Yeah don't bother with Anti-Virus on Android. Just don't go installing questionable .apk's.
Guest ohio66 Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 Thanks Kozmic will take your advice and stop frightening myself to death!!
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted June 18, 2011 Report Posted June 18, 2011 Yes just don't install anything fishy! :) Because Su is essentially letting other apps access the file system then its going to identify it as a threat, which realistically it is, when used improperly.
