I think first of all you need to slow down and take a deep breath as it sounds like you are trying to do too much too soon. With the Advent Vega you need to expect to spend a bit of time reading the posts on this forum about how to set-up the device before you jump in. Use the SEARCH facility on this forum because if you had typed 'Code 10' into it you would have come upon this topic which explains how to get over your problem. If you get stuck then come back and ask us again and we'll try to help but try to follow the guide instructions to the letter and you should be OK. :)

Guest trevor432990 Posted June 19, 2011 Report Posted June 19, 2011 (edited) I am from Turkey.. May be you can help? The link I gave you should answer your questions but I don't think there is much I can do remotely if the Vega is dead right now. There are three members who have mentioned they live in Turkey so maybe you can 'Private Message' them here on Modaco and ask if they can help you they are:- Linux003, Pascha, Kraaz Edited June 19, 2011 by trevor432990

Guest beegee1962 Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 I am not sure that they can help, but any chance to load ROM to SD card with adapter from my Laptop? or Do you know how to connect Tablet PC to UBUNTU 11 by USB? Did you try to flash a stock ROM (a ROM coming from the dealers)? Get one from myadventvega.co.uk, they have a pdf file with instructions as well. For Ubuntu I wrote a small tutorial, but this is more if you want to develop on Ubuntu for Android. Search the forum for ADB Ubuntu, there are several threads about it.

Guest simonta Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 you dont make it clear exactly what it is you are trying did you follow the instructions found at myadventvega.co.uk? i realise english isnt your fist language but it is difficult to help you unless you tell us what you have tried and what you are having problems with OP stated Linux thus myadventvega won't help. Firebirdcabrio. If you have access to a Windows PC, use that. AUDI (search for it) will get the drivers installed for you. If you don't have XP, did you follow the Linux tutorial Trevor442990 gave you? If so, what went wrong? I used that tutorial with Ubuntu 11 and it worked fine.

If you can't turn it on, press power for at least 8 seconds. Release, then press it until the backlight comes on. To get to recovery, press power again for at least 8 seconds before you try.

Sorry to be pedantic but I can't find any post by the OP that states they are using linux. They state windows 7 or XP!! The rest of your Audi info is , of course, excellent.

Guest HypoTurtle Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Proven way to get into recovery mode first time; Power off Remove power and USB cables for a few seconds Plug in power Connect USB Hold back for 2 second Hold back and power for two second (should already have beeped and entered recovery, but still) Hold back for 2 seconds The drivers used for NVflash are different to those for adb.
Guest firebirdcabrio Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) Oops I forgot to say, my computer sees my Tablet as Unknown Device when I did what u write.. The problem is it is giving CODE 10 error after I update its driver from Device Manager at Win7 64.. So I cannot install anything to my Tablet PC. BTW, I cannot see my Tablet with USBdeview program (there is no Vendor ID), AUDI or vs.. it only appears Unknown device at Device manager when I press power back button.. When I try to install driver manually, it gives CODE 10 error all the time.. Im goin to be mad Edited July 2, 2011 by firebirdcabrio

What I did to install the drivers was to run Audi without the Vega connected, and click the install custom ROM button in section 1. Section 2 should now give you the option to uninstall the driver, if so, click it. All being well, that will complete. Next, click to install the correct vega drivers. After that, you can try conecting your vega. Hopefully, the bar at the bottom of AUDI will turn green, indicating drivers are installed ok. Also try doing what the previous poster has said about putting the vega in to recovery mode. Power off vega with power & USB > hold Back button for 2 > hold Power (still holding back down) for 2 > let go of power & keep back down for 2. Hopefully then, you'll be able to run 1.10 & bring some life back to your tablet. good luck, phill
Guest firebirdcabrio Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 thank you for NOT helping me.. But I want to write maybe that could help.. The only problem was bad USB CABLE.. its solved
