Hi,

I'd like to buy the ZTE Blade to use in Canada using Fido, but I can't find it anywhere (except on eBay, but they only have open-boxes). I heard about Argos (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5186644/Trail/searchtext%3ESAN+FRANCISCO.htm), they have a good price, but it seems to be only for take out, no shipping.

Any idea where I can find one? I know it's possible to get one for about 150 - 170$CAN (99GBP), just looking for the good spot.

Thanks a lot

Most of the retailers who sell the phone in the UK would be unlikely to offer an international shipping option. Likely your best option would be Ebay.co.uk or asking any friends who visit europe for vacation to pick one up.

Also, not sure how much of the forum you have read, but currently there is no way to get a 3G data connection in Canada using the blade so web access will crawl along on the 2G speeds. There is ongoing research into this matter in the forums as ZTE have been known to merely disable frequencies in firmware even though the hardware is capable. I recently upgraded my phone to gen2 in the hope of resolving this very matter.

At the beginning of the year ZTE did say that the Blade would be coming to North American markets through budget channels which I guess could include the Fido Network (which I think is the budget brand of Rogers now) or Wind.

Hope this is of some help.

You might have some luck if you post on the XDA or Modaco selling/trade sections. Maybe you could offer a bit extra if someone ships a brand new one over? Just a thought.

Well, I don't plan on using 3G, I prefer sticking to WiFi and using the basic phone functions (calling, texting, ...). I know it's possible to buy some ZTE Blade for like 89.99GBP at Orange in UK, but can't find a good offer. I found one on eBay, but the box is opened and unlocked, but I don't need to pay for that, I can do it myself.

I just need an untouched box for 99.99GBP. Any idea?

And if they want to bring it to North America, any planned date?
