Guest paxrax Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 ok ive scratched my head about this one a little! i have a media center pc connected to some speakers which i would like to play music from by using the vega as a touchscreen remote. basically, if youve ever used audiogalaxy its ideal but streams from the media center to the vega rather than controlling whats on the pc. any thoughts on what to use or how to set this up?

If so there are a fair few media centre remote apps that will do the job if you mean a more general media centre maybe try using some kind of vnc? there are also a couple of vlc remote apps that could do the job id search the market for "media remote" download any which sound like they might suit your needs and see which work for you

You can give logitech's squeezebox center a whirl. The server runs on your PC and then you can run software client on the pc to play the music. For the tablet there is logitech's remote app and also a thrid party one called Squeeze Commander which is very good. I have used it for years - not the tablet app.
Guest monkums Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 +1 for the Squeezebox server and app. I run Squeeze server along side the standard Windows Home Server media sharing. I have a couple of hacked Jogglers running Squeezebox and can control all of them through the Logitech Squeezebox app.
