SE have pushed back the date of release yet again! why can they not just give us the updates when they say they are going to... or don't announce it until they are ready, SE are a let down on puntuality, can they not just make up there minds....... Guest Cyberman_NI Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure I read somewhere about 6 months ago that Google where going to force their android partners to release OS upgrades at the same time. Then it is up to SE, HTC or Samsung to release their mediascape, sense or touchwiz on the market as and when they get they're finger outa they're arse to do it. I think that system would be a much better way to do it. It would show up the lazy companys who are dragging behind. Especially since the market can detect the phones details and show app's accordingly.

But sometime in August the initial rollouts will come, to the generic people (unbranded kits), and from there, a bunch more. BUT, don't forget, not everyone will be getting this. Good example of this was AT&T people in the States - they JUST got their official 2.1 update finally a month or so ago, whereas the Nordic countries were the first to get it back in November. (Canada got it about a week after the Nordic release, if I remember correctly). Oh well. I'm honestly quite happy with my TripNMiUI 0.3.5 - works wonders, is stable, and is already 2.3.4. Why step back to a Sony-limited 2.3.3 stuffed with their bloatware ?

I had a gut feeling that GB will not roll out on time....ehh Just have to stick to x10 to the end of the year and then I will change it to HTC, they seams to be delivering "all the goodies" on time. Just wonder if at beginning of August SE will not say " Sorry, we had some more issues but update will be coming at the end of the year", I will wait and see. Edited June 20, 2011 by Ri2do
