need to understand where to begin

Hi I just Got an ACER LIQUID METAL S120 in the back of the phone

this is the info I can read from it:

BASEBAND VERSION--- unknown

the issues Im experiencing its that I have no market place and it turns off every now and then

I see I can change all that but I dont know if I have to change firmware or boot it or where to start at least

for me to use my phone with the latest android IM LOST !!!!

can you guys show me the rigth way???
