Don't think so. Does it come with Alpha1.3? How can I check?

Hold in the power button for a few seconds and select recovery.. it should boot into a orange & black interface which you control by the volume rocker & power button. Wipe data & dalvick cache fromthe advanced section and then install The rom from SD ( place it anywhere on your card)

or u culd check ur app drawer and if theres a little android robot out of a box symbol wit the words recovery above it, uve got it :D

if u dont, thats fine, cos u basically need to flash bk to stock (im guessing u know how to do that)

then u go to here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1041036

and follow the instructions

then u put ur vega in, turn on usb storage and put the vegacomb 1.6 zipped file into ur sd card

then open clockwork mod

do the normal wiping stuff, install rom from sd card

and there we have it B)

tell me how it gets on :)

Thanks for pointers. I'm flashing Corvus5 to get cwm, then trying B1.6 tomorrow. One thing I was forgetting to do was sudo kill/restart adb server so was getting "no permissions" from "adb devices".

Correct me if I'm wrong but, flashing a different rom (corvus5) won't get you clockworkmod. Recovery is untouched by roms so if you have stock recovery then flash to corvus5 you will still have stock recovery. You need to replace your stock recovery with clockwork. I think you can just download rom manager from the market and select flash clockworkmod then select your device 'advent Vega ' and accept the sudo request

Most of the time that is the case, however Corvus5 does in fact come with CWM bundled as people were confused on how to install/upgrade it.

I stand corrected :)

Sorted, thanks all. Details in THIS POST, which popped up while I was working my way through the problem.
