Guest Unipete Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Have you asked this on the correct thread? Try the vegacomb thread. I'll bet you get more answers!!

Guest Adam:) Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 yeh thats the same mines had B) after i turn it on, and wen im occasionally flicking through app drawer/ home screens im not sure wats up wit it, cos sometimes its really fast :)
Guest xaboren Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 yeah same here Dont really know why though, 1.5.2 was a lot faster for me. Also my screen is not very accurate on 1.6, it's getting really hard for me to push home button or menu.

Do u think u will switch bk to 1.5.2? because i know the features in both are pretty much the same except for some minor things B) i might wait until its finalized, use corvus5 for the time being :)

I suppose it just depends how frustrated i get with the minor niggles of comb. :)

Although I am thinking about going back to Corvus 5, btw. what kernel are you guys using on corvus ?
Guest Unipete Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) There's an appropriate thread for this particular love in that you all seem to be having at the moment. Try it, it's great. It's all about vegacomb and discussion around it and it doesn't create any unnecessary threads! Just a thought! Edit: Meant to give the link. http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...nd-teamvillain/ Edited June 20, 2011 by Unipete

I agree the orginal post should have been in the vegacomb thread but it's now morphed into people exchanging their preferences for different roms which would not really be appropriate in the other thread. Just a thought.
Guest Unipete Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Sheesh! I give in and promise not to bump up a pointless thread which could get better answers elsewhere again. Apart from this post of course. :) .

I find Launcher pro with 3d transitions and scrollable Widgets is a good tablet format for a ROM while V/c is going through development. It also has quick pickup on Wifi and a good browser.
Guest Adam:) Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Hey guys, i think i hav our answer to our original problem when i closed all my open apps in advanced task killer it returned to its smooth and fast self B) just hav to make sure i keep an eye on it :)
Guest SWOriginal Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 In my oppinion if you want a better tablet experience than Corvus you should use cm7 with the honeycomb tablet theme installed and vlt launcher. Tried Corvus for around 5 mins and couldn't live with the top status bar so cyanogenmod7 all the way

Just set it Auto Kill Level=Aggressive and then you can manually set programs you don't want to get killed. You can also try more decent kill levels but for me Aggressive works good enough.

If you let Android sort itself out for a few days without a task killer, whatever performance issues are left are NOT related to how many apps you run. Android runs best when it's memory is full and you let it sort out it's own task killing. Edited June 23, 2011 by simonta
