Guest t.A.T.u Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Allright i finally got cyanogenmod 7 on my zte-blade. The good thing is that i can play nfs shift without lagging (in the game) anymore, but at the same time my phone has started a major lag snice i installed cyanogenmod 7 (android 2.3.3). It lags everytime i scroll up and down the applications and it also freezes from no where when i open Image, Press the power button or what ever else and the only way to get rid of it is to open the back and take out the batteri. Today my phones freezed for like 5-6 times while i was using it. The phone was actaully too fast and never freezed when i bought it with android 2.2 So does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? I will be very happy to solve that problem.

Guest k0zmic Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) The one that came with CM7, are you using that? The version of CM is the one you downloaded and flashed, it's in about under 'Mod Version'. Edited June 20, 2011 by k0zmic

Guest t.A.T.u Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 btw it says in the market that the Gingerbread Launcher application is modified for Android 2.2 Froyo. Does it matter? because i have the Android 2.3

Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 The official gingerbread launcher is better than the one on the market :) (appdrawer wise, at least) LINK: http://www.addictivetips.com/wp-content/up...ockLauncher.zip

I hadn't been able to find an official one that actually works.
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Should i just put in that zip file into the SD card? xD Unzip it, and put the apk file on your sd card. then in a file manager on your phone (eg, file manager, astro, whatever) naviagte yto it and "open/install" it. It may prompt you saying install blocked, in which case allow installs from the sd card and then just open the apk again. Then hit home and it should prompt you what to use.
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Oo thanks. I hadn't been able to find an official one that actually works. Assuming that works :L I did have a very good one (official) at some point, not sure if this is the same. If it doesn't work then I'll dig about in my hard disk (physically, of course)
Guest t.A.T.u Posted June 20, 2011 Report Posted June 20, 2011 Done with that too And yes i can see that the phone has been much better and faster than before but still not same fast as the phone was when it had original android 2.2, but anyway thank you guys for your help! If you know more ways to speedup the phone please let me know, Thank you! :)

I'm sure this question crops up a lot :D

Now, just need to make menu scrolling a bit smoother then perfection. Edited June 20, 2011 by k0zmic

Oh yeah I forgot about that :L I used to push it in before flashing ROMzzzz (well actually I just used launcher2.apk from flb (the one in SS is different - for the worse imo)

It's probably best on /system anyway rather than EXT. I agree with that.
