Guest IanTurner Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Press your finger in the relevant area until a menu pops up offering such options as select and select all
Guest Pepecillo Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 Or ......... install an app like Clipper for clipboard copy/paste

You can only copy and paste text in text boxes not just random screen areas, is that what you are doing? If not be more specific when it doesn't work, what rom you are on etc

Just long press and choose "Select text". Then click again and use the selector handles to highlight the text then release. A context menu pops up for "share, copy" etc. Try it in Dolphin Some apps, e.g. GMail, put Select Text on the app menu. Finally, a stop gap measure is to use the apps Share menu, assuming it has one, to share text with a text editor or something like EverNote from where it can be selected. I would also encourage gedt to consider why copy/paste is useful. Very often, I find the Share menu a lot more useful.
