Hi, hope someone can help.Every time i try to go onto a web page the status bar gets half way across, then the whole page drops and goes back to my home page.Tried advent support phone no. and was told to do a factory rest.I don't really want to do this as i'm not that technical when it comes to computers so don't really want to have to reload the rom's etc (took me long enough in the first place).Hope someone can help, and thank you!

Would help if you could let us know what ROM you are currently running. Stock/R8/CM7/Corvus5/VegaComb.

There is nothing technical about reverting back to stock, take to look at myadventvega.co.uk where there is a simple guide on how to do it, the hardest part being getting the device into recovery but it will happen (eventually).

Why not try a different browser from the marketplace? Dolphin HD, Miren & Maxathon are popular...

Yes, reverting back to stock (or changing any ROM) generally requires a full wipe of anything on the system. You can create a backup of apps and app data (saved games, scores etc.) with Titanium Backup and you can just save a copy of your photos/vids etc on to a PC and copy back after changing/reinstalling the ROM.

I'd advise that as the system is booting you could just try reinstalling the ROM which can be done without wiping user apps/settings (although can cause problems) but I think as the R8 installation is automated, it automatically wipes these so best make a backup first.

You'll lose any apps but your data (photos, videos etc) will be fine. As others have said, you can backup your apps first. The backup will also survive a new ROM installation. If you're not skilled, you might find "MyBackup Pro for Root" easier to use than Titanium Backup. Titanium is the most powerful but is most effective when you have good experience with Android.

Could it be your router? I know that when webpages are slow to load (or it just hangs and refuses to load) that its when I have to restart my router - or just when I'm bandwidth capped.
