Guest jumper007 Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) I have bought a i900 three years ago. I bought it from Singapore. It was shiped to me in Romania. I put the Orange Ro sim card, and everything was ok. Now, I have signed with Vodafone Ro. When I insert their sim card, my i900 is saying that the network is locked. Ok! I tryed to follow the tutorials online, but what I get is a sim failure message. Ok, they said I have to upgrade the firmware. Ok, now when I tryed to do that, my i900 suddenly shuts down, every time I try that. I tryed with multiple ROMS (OFFICIAL once). Now I took it to a GMS service. In over one week, they couldn't unlock it. They even bought a 8-digit code online by paypal, and NOTHING ! It still doesnt work. What is surprising is that my i900 HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ORANGE RO. BUT IT IS LOCKED TO IT ! I have been following all tutorials on web. NOTHING ! HELP! Thanks in advance ! PS: Sorry for bad english, but I was in a hurry Edited June 22, 2011 by jumper007
Guest stefg Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) Try to install new rom and new radio. Read carefully how you can do it. You can find roms in the subforum "i900 / General Omnia ROM Discussion". For radio, you can try the newest, puja1. Flashing your phone is not dangerous, if you are careful. I already flashed my phone over 50 times! If you want, you can cook your own rom. You can use Yonn's and ock's kitchens, or make your own. This would be better for the omnia community, than developing new software. Follow the work of Yonn and Ock and see what i mean. We need new chefs, so you can give your enthusiasm there! I hope you'll solve your problem. Edited June 22, 2011 by stefg

( I will recieve back my i900 from service in 3 hours) :) edit: Oh, and I will also try to cook some ROM's in few weeks. Thanks again. Edited June 23, 2011 by jumper007
Guest jumper007 Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 Oh, and sorry, maybe this will sound noobish... but what do you mean when you say "radio" ? :)
Guest jumper007 Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 2 hours... I CAN'T WAIT 'TILL THEN !
Guest stefg Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 Radio or phone, control the signal of the phone, gps, bluetooth, wifi... You can see your version in here: menu-settings-system-version: PDA is for rom and PHONE is for radio. Read carefully what you should do for flashing your phone. If you are not careful, you can damage you phone. I already said that i flashed my phone many many times... I posted some radios in here. You can flash a radio just like a rom. Good luck and i hope you'll solve your problem.
