An easy way to do it:

Take any theme (since they're small downloads), and remove the folders under except META-INF.

Then, create a folder called system, and in that, app, and place your APKs in there. This'll flash what you need to the system partition

I.E, in Explorer (or Finder if you have a Mac B) )

You should have

theme.zip

- META-INF\

-system\app\[all your .apks]

Note, the system folder is NOT in the META-INF folder.

Hope this helps :)

Thank you for this :)

Followed your instructions and I have just been able to flash the updated mms.apk that i had been using on android 2.2 back on after not being able to get it in since moving to clockwork 3 while trying cm7 and then going back to android 2.2 after finding cm7 horrendous on the battery life.

If the script has the function of copying to /system it should be fine

I usually add a delete script as well
