Could someone do it,please?a clockwork patch zip without having to change rom again, please?

edit: finally USB TETHERING HAS BEEN INCLUDED IN THE LATEST NIGHTLY ROM!!http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,6145

with my GEN1,using UNIVERSAL CONVERTER AND ACTUAL WITH NIGHTLY 97,have I to wipe everything to update to the nightly 110?Should I backup before updating in this case?

For Mods: my topic eventually is no longer needed or useful, you can delete it if you want.

I'm aware of that rom..that's why I'm asking if it is possible simply to create an USB TETHERING update.zip file without changing my actual rom..

You'd be better off to download the latest CM7 nightly and wipe cache/data, and flash it instead...

no point picking and mixing, either flash to latest or get left behind. :)

I've Nightly 97 on board at the moment, and I've seen on the Blue Ginger V1 rom that the cooker has included usb tethering, I was wondering if it would have been possible just to "update" my rom by a .zip using clockwork...re-installing everything at every rom flashing is annoying(if you don't have the flashing syndrome). Thanks for the advice BTW

If you don't wipe, you don't have to reinstall everything after a rom update! :) I've gone from CM7 to N108 and the only time I've had to re-install was after the Gen 2 update.

Even if I have a GEN 1 using UNIVERSAL CONVERTER?

For god's sake, do the conversion with wbaws TPT package v7. It's short and painless.

Short ok, painless depends..BTW, I still don't feel the "need" to change to GEN2,even if reversible.I know the related infos, but still no real vantages compared to GEN1 oled for the things I want.So my question still remains B) USB TETHERING's .zip patch,if possible, please :)

you want USB tethering, so, there you have your advantage.

Thought I'd stick with Gen1 myself, but the new CM7 (N88+) were too tempting, so I did the TPT... it's super simple and about as painful as switching or updating roms.

Thanks for suggestion, the thing I still don't understand is which are the real plus on a normal everyday use on 2.3 roms compared to the 2.2 ones..apart graphical things or little improvements,I don't notice or catch perhaps if and what is improved..as in my other topic requesting for a poll to mods, I think there are a few things that count, battery length firstly..My GEN1 with a N97 trough UNI Converter doesn't seem so different from the previous Swedish Spring,I mean, Ciano has more settings available but on the core use don't see particular differences..that's why I was asking for the usb tethering patch..eventually,if I don't have to wipe and reinstall everything,I'll update to the latest nightly for that..other than that I'm not obsessed by flashing once a week..really 'd like to find the "final rom" for a little more than a week, possibly 2-3 months goign to FOREVER :)

make a nandroid backup, upgrade to Gen2, install CM7, try it. If you don't see the point, downgrade to Gen1 and restore your backup.
