Guest Speedy Posted February 13, 2003 Report Posted February 13, 2003 Ok i know that this is mentioned in the wishlist but here goes. A lot of people are fed up with not being able to delete all messages in inbox and sent items. There has got to be a way to work around it though. Cant we do i through activesync, by locating the folder where these messages are stored and then delete them all that way? However i am no wiz and has not been able to locate them. Any ideas??
Guest madu Posted February 13, 2003 Report Posted February 13, 2003 IPSMMAPI will not do anything for you. If you save a draft message then in MAPI it will only save the text/attachmnt of the message. The msg entries are located in .voc files. The quickes way so far is right-menu-click > '4' key (delete). Instead of scrolling down and then 'Action key' on Delete..
Guest Speedy Posted February 13, 2003 Report Posted February 13, 2003 Thanx that is a little bit faster however it does not fix the problem completely, but thanks anyway
Guest exodus842 Posted February 13, 2003 Report Posted February 13, 2003 the file all the msgs are stored in your inbox is in ipsm/mapi it's called cemail.vol and in theory if u delete it your fone will create a new blank file when you restart the fone. However this worked for me, it didn't work v well for a number of other ppl when we were trying to back up our msgs, so as always it's at your own risk. edit: the only way to delete it is through all explorer, you can't do it through activesync
