Guest Maxsas360 Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 I've found a method of converting a ZTE Blade to a ZTE Libra. The author declares that: Advantages of doing this: better network reception HSUPA enabled, screenshot to follow 850mhz enabled for GSM and 3G CM7 will be updating to this after CM7 is declared stable[/codebox] [codebox]Disadvantages: cant use any Blade rom [8]cant use CM7 at present cant use tpt method cant use fastboot unless by ADB. cant downgrade to Blade baseband http://www.talk3g.co.uk/showthread.php?876...z-enabled-HSUPA Could this be a solution for HSUPA and 850mhz support?
Guest targetbsp Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 (edited) They said that about gen 2 lol. [edit] In fact, exactly that. [edit2] In fact, based on the date of that post it probably is referring to what is now gen2... Edited June 25, 2011 by targetbsp
Guest k0zmic Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 Yep, it looks like it's about updating to Gen 2.
Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 I think hecatae posted the original instructions for upgrading to Gen2 on another forum, which is what you have found. A small minority of people found that HSUPA works, but the majority didn't and all my extensive attempts to enable it didn't work. I don't know of any proper test done into 850Mhz.
Guest Maxsas360 Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 But it says it converts Zte Blade to Zte Libra, not gen2
Guest k0zmic Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 But it says it converts Zte Blade to Zte Libra, not gen2 The Libra must've been sold as a Gen 2 handset hence the reason it says 'convert to ZTE Libra'.
