Guest HORV Posted June 26, 2011 Report Posted June 26, 2011 hi new to forums so dont know how to find what i am after, i bought a advent vega for my girls birthday and decieded to put the rom on it, downloaded it and followed the step by step instructions, however it doesnt finish rebooting, it just says rebooting and restarts every 30 seconds or so. i have given the vega to a pc guy, he has put it in recovery mode but files are missing or not there and he says he cannot re install. im not techy so i am stuck at the mo i have a 200 birthday pressie thats seems to be broke, all posts indicate its impossible to break it like this, but if a pc guy says it cant be fixed then is this a first???? i am not sure whats involved but if someone could reply who has had this same issue as i cant find any solutions on here. please reply and for speed email me at [email protected] thanks
Guest Paul 01 Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Hi Steve, sorry cant help but i am in a similar position but have not even got round to working out which software i need to install to make android market work. I'm sure you'll get there all the best Paul
Guest BillyBobJoe Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Good place to start is get back the stock rom form advent, see myadventvega.co.uk for instalation guide. Very easy just need PC, Vega, USB and power. As for a ROM with a market and Paul & Corvus (plus Newbie5) do great work so use either.
Guest HORV Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Hi Steve, sorry cant help but i am in a similar position but have not even got round to working out which software i need to install to make android market work. I'm sure you'll get there all the best Paul hi bud, i now have mine working, if you get stuck help is slow from here, it eventually is quite easy go onto myadventvega and follow the instructions, unzip and locate usb drivers, plug in machine and update, one thing this site doesnt seem to tell you is that not every pc works for this, i sat up all night on my sony, managed to get drivers updated but then just wouldnt do anything, couldnt find it, i then decided to do it on my mrs acer, lo and behold it seemed to work, but it got stuck in a booting mode and because of that it wouldnt let me do anything. i gave it to someone else who did manage to get it reset but only after messing around for a few days but couldnt get the rom installed, he was having the same problem but his issue was the drivers would not up date, he has two sony's and a toshiba, i even double checked if he was doing it correctly and he was, they just would not update it to the android interface and because of that couldnt install, i gave him £20 for trying, i then came home and re tried the acer as my friend said try again as he could reset it, low and behold it worked first time, so the answer is it doesnt work with every pc, if you have issues then try another pc, even if the pc updates the drivers it still may not work, that is what i found, i dont know why it messed up on the acer first time, but it worked second, it is quite easy to do but just be aware of the above. good luck steve
