can we have the acer froyo dialer in gingerbread roms ? i think its better than stock one

The only feature I like is when pressing numbers, it automatically brings up contacts that have those strings. with GB dialer, I have to scroll through the whole contact list alphabetically to find the right person, no big deal since most of the time it's redialing a recent contact, but occasionally when they're not on the recent list, it's a bit of a hassle.

thats why i like it, and it looks better too, i hope someone can port it to GB roms

While there is not a way (I think) of porting the froyo dialer to the current GB roms easily, there is a solution.

Go to market, and try out the 'Go Contacts' app. It's a complete dialer/contacts suite, and comes with a T9 dialer, like the acer dialer. Plus it's really smoothe and loads of themes are available for it.

i'm using too touch pal dialer, so happy with it in GB roms :)
