Guest RockVacirca Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Hi guys, Let's face it, a standard Vega, right out of the box, is pretty dull. Before I take it to work, and seriously impress my colleagues with the Vega's awesomeness/price I am going to need some awesome apps to showcase the device. My daughter, who is a Android phone user, has already told me to get an interactive wallpaper, and she has given me some excellent links on the Market. So the tablet looks awesome now on switch-on, just need those awesome apps. So, regardless of whether I actually need the apps concerned, what are the best apps out there that look visually stunning? I will take the top ten recommendations, load them, then prepare to impress. Regards Rock

If you are on a Froyo / Gingerbread variant, Galaxy on Fire 2 THD is superb - will also run on Vegacomb as well.

And only because it looks funky - Fishbowl Photo Gallery. Its also pretty funky using video playback to demonstrate - some videos of the kids taken on my Nokia N8 (which really does have one of the best cameras on a mobile), played on the Vega look absolutley stunning. Vivid colours, smooth motion.
Guest trevor432990 Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 If you've got GPS working on your Vega yet (through tethered mobile or external GPS receiver) then Google Maps/Navigation working with the Vega is pretty darn impressive :)
Guest premieral Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) If you've got GPS working on your Vega yet (through tethered mobile or external GPS receiver) then Google Maps/Navigation working with the Vega is pretty darn impressive :) its also worth pointing out that if you are on vegacomb or cm7 the geolocation works without gps so you can demosnstrate the navigation and maps working, tho i wouldn`t like to test the navigation reliability actualluy on the move  unless the wifi is able to update as quickly as gps, also on the same subject google earth with 3d view is extremely impressive Edited June 27, 2011 by premieral
