Web Browser

Hi,

I just bought a Viewsonic Viewpad 10S and I'm not really happy with the default browser (don't know what it's called, it just says "Browser").

I'm looking for something similar to Google Chrome; my main requirement is the synchronization of my Chrome bookmarks.

Any tips?

I'm completely new to this, so would also need advice on how to remove the old browser and install the new.

There isnt a google chrome browser for android as such, but there are a few alternative browsers available. I'm a fan of Opera (mobile and mini version). I've tried Dolphin browser, not really liked it, but it has a strong following, so you could give it a try. Doing a web search for the browser name and "apk" should allow you to download the app onto the tablet. On the android market are a few apps which claim to sync your chrome bookmarks to your phone, I've not used these but you some are free so they are worth a try if you can source the apk from the developers.

When you install multiple apps that can perform the same function (e.g. web browsing) android will give u a list to pick which one you use, and from there you can also set it as the default if you like it. No need to uninstall the stock browser.
