Market install failure

Hi to everyone.My problem is that when I download an app from the market, it downloads but will not install it. This appears to be intermittent ie, sometimes it will and others it wont. I get the message "Installation error. Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card". This has only happened recently, I'm sure I have ticked/unticked or done something silly.

I have been getting this on a frequent basis recently also. I thought at first it was not having enough remaining memory on the device but even deleting a number of apps so i have about 75mb available i am still encountering on a freq basis.

I have over 3gb available on my SdCard. I also receive the message when I try to update apps. There are times when 4 apps need updating and it will only update 3. Strange, I'm sure i've done something stupid, won't be the first time.

Thanks for the reply. Tried your suggestion but still wont install. I am trying to install air attack hd part one. It attempts to install but stops and i then get the above notification.I have just downloaded and installed 'bug village' and all went ok. Maybe its a problem with the air attack app, but it has occured when updating existing apps, Edited June 27, 2011 by stepvan

I have a similar problem, if you unmount the sd card, install the apps and remount the sd card it works, you can then move the apps to the sd card.

It's a weird problem and I don't know the cause but this seems to work for me

Has solved my market woes aswell. Thanks that has really been bugging me

No need to unmount the card. Move the app to main memory then upgrade. After that just move the app back to the sdcard.

that might work for updates for some but my problem was with new apps on the market. To update things like angry birds i now have to move to the vega, unmount the SD card update and then remount and mve the app back, it's a pain but at least i can update apps now.
