Difference Gen1 & Gen2 Recovery? Compatibility?

Hi all

just wondering if it would hurt the blade flashing a gen1 recovery image on a gen2 blade, or the other way around (gen2 recovery on gen1 blade)?

also, does anyone know how CWM detects FTM mode? 0:-)

They aren't compatible, so you wouldn't be able to get into recovery. It might cause other issues as well, don't know. Dunno about the FTM bit sorry.

It just means you'll have to either redo the TPT or redo the Windows flash if you upgraded to Gen 2 that way to get recovery back. Basically, don't do it.

Huh? If I'm not mistaken FTM is the 'stock' recovery. CWM is a custom recovery.

It wouldn't work, but you could still use fastboot to reflash clockworkmod.

FTM stands for Field Test Mode, it's on your recovery partition.

You flash clockworkmod on the same partition, so they should not be present at the same time.
