BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH

Hi all, I've encountered a little problem.

I'm calling it the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!!!

Basically I've put vegacomb on yesterday, used the tablet today.

Came back to it after leaving it on for a while.

Now when I press the power button it doesn't move passed the initial backlighting of the screen.

I've restarted the vega before so I'm not sure what's going on???!!

You sure it doesn't just need a charge? I had that problem and just left it on charge for half an hour and tried again

I have had this problem, it started after I used ROM manager to do something. I can flash back to stock OK which works – if I then add something with clockwork I eventually get back to a non booting Vega. Things that I have used before don’t work now.

Have cleaned the cache, Dalvik cache reset etc. But always arrive back to the same situation,

I don’t have a solution yet but think this is some software issue which I may have to learn more to solve.

Sorry I can’t help you but I seem to have a similar problem.

Edit 1:

This also may be known as the BSOD black screen of death...

There are some posts on it.

Edit 2:

I suspect some lingering object or file permission not set correctly although I have flashed back to stock and once run fix permissions. Anyway I plan to start again – Stock and see what happens after that I will have to read more stuff. Break something – learn more :)

had the same problem. flashed, rooted, clockworkmod, then rom manager from market. rom manager would never go to recovery, just reboot. some people uninstalled and reinstalled, but i flashed stock 1.10, then rooted and clockwork. dont install rom manager (not needed, vega nightly roms are not downloaded from rom manager).

hopefully, i got everything in the right order.

cheers,

jeff
