Guest ik8vwa Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 I'd like to know your experiences with these following apps, considering I do not want to install and uninstall but simply chose and put on the best one: 1) Csip simple 2) Sipdroid 3) Lingovoip 4) 3Cx Phone. Your opinion is much appreciated.

Guest leopesto Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 Hi, I've a question... I've seen easyvoip and his tarifs and they're so good... the question is: "is it trustable?", which one you use?
Guest shmizan Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 (edited) a bit off topic but I'd love an explanation. what is exactly SIP? is it not Skype? Viber? how are the applications above differ from Skype, for example? Edited July 3, 2011 by shmizan
Guest maleficum Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 a bit off topic but I'd love an explanation. what is exactly SIP? is it not Skype? Viber? how are the applications above differ from Skype, for example? well there are lots of voip companies that offer much cheaper rates than Skype for international calls different from viber, with a voip account you can call someone's fixed or mobile line directly, the other side does not need to have an application installed or they don't even need a smartphone. but with the cheap companies, unfortunately the call quality is terrible most of the time (also depends on your internet connection speeds) i've been using voip a lot since I live in a different country then my home country, without voip I wouldnt be able to call my family that often.

More, with voip you can obtain a free landline number (e.g. Euteliavoip, in Italy or Messagenet) where people having just a plain old telephone can reach you. I have been using Betamax providers in the last 10 months but the quality differs from day to day and so it is almost unreliable. Best provider I've found so far is Eutelia, an Italian company with the best sound quality. They also have an international access number so you can call through their system, supposing you have a phone to access. Anyway, voip this way is the easy way to keep things smooth if on the other side there are people not used to technology like old parents or people with just a landline. As far as I'm concerned, I'm just finishing the credit on my Voipstunt account and then I'll use just one provider or Skype. The latter one is the only able to pass through firewalls in the hotels without almost any problem.
Guest leopesto Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 I've seen voipstunt but prices are a bit high, mostly for mobile phones... in compairison with easyvoip (which I'm trying to buy credit but can't :S), voipblast,... I need a cheaper sip provider with cheap mobile phone's calls as home phone use, so I think it wouldn't be a good idea because of quality as I can read. which one do you advise me? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- certo che voipstunt é un po' caruccio, soprattutto per chiamare ai cellulari. il problema é trovare un servizio che costi poco e allo stesso tempo con una qualità decente... :S
Guest dm666 Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 (edited) I tried a lot of VOIP Clients, also the one included in 2.3.4. The best I found is FRING. best on battery, and the sound is coming through the earpiece, not through the back-speaker. ciao d I'd like to know your experiences with these following apps, considering I do not want to install and uninstall but simply chose and put on the best one: 1) Csip simple 2) Sipdroid 3) Lingovoip 4) 3Cx Phone. Starting from this assumption, I would suggest a comparison in real time clicking here: http://progx.ch/home-voip-prixbetamax-3-1-1.html Hope it helps. Ps. anyway, did you try csipsimple on your zte blade? Edited July 4, 2011 by ik8vwa
