Guest Phil001 Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 £132.90 today only http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/acer-liqui...95-ibood/966765 would it be considered an upgrade?
Guest k0zmic Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 (edited) Probably. Full specs: http://www.gsmarena.com/acer_liquid_e-3156.php Just looked up some reviews and they're quite mixed regarding the seller. Edited June 28, 2011 by k0zmic
Guest iNoobz2Droid Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 i would not recommend afaik old 65nm cpu and same slow GPU as the blade (adreno200)
Guest k0zmic Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 It is ARM v7 though = more games and certain apps can run on it.
Guest hecatae Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 full kernel sources available from acer, huge rom community in the liquid.modaco.com forum, working cm7 and miui roms
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Not worth the money imo. I'd get one if I didn't already have the blade, however...
Guest Phil001 Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 yep, i cant afford it at the moment, but just wondered what the opinions on it were
Guest iNoobz2Droid Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 thats what i meant, maybe a good deal when you got no android phone, but not worth the money to upgrade from blade imho
Guest k0zmic Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 I passed on it as well, if there's a problem with the seller which a few people claim to have had it just doesn't seem worth the hassle. I will continue to wait for my contract to run down and then get a GS2 probably.

Guest k0zmic Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 (edited) Please tell me you didn't but the blade on contract  :) Hell no, I bought it on Pay as you go because my Hero's touchscreen died and I needed something as a kind of stopgap till my contract runs down. I was considering moving to GiffGaff for my next phone but having seen the 3G problems I'm not too sure. Edited June 28, 2011 by k0zmic

Guest Dario93 Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Specs say 1ghz snapdragon..? Wrong specs  Well, almost every liquid can reach with OC kernels 998 MHz,but they are 768 by default. However, with latest CM7 builds, speed is awesome at 768 MHz :)
Guest Sami Beck Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 dont seem a huge upgrade from the blade, as much a fan I am of acer, I will be holding off for a while, hoping to do some more dev-work for the blade, this dog hasnt had its day yet!

I ditched my Acer liquid mini in favour for the blade, god i hated that acer phone ... so, don't do it !!!
Guest slitz Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 I ditched my Acer liquid mini in favour for the blade, god i hated that acer phone ... so, don't do it !!! But the Liquid Mini is a different phone from the Liquid E. Anyway, if you already have the Blade/OSF don't bother.
Guest iNoobz2Droid Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Specs say 1ghz snapdragon..? specs say - Adreno 200 GPU, Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon chipset which is first gen snapdragon in 65nm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapdragon_%28system_on_chip%29
