Save yourself hours of USB driver frustration...

After hours of head-scratching, some blue language and an almost binned Vega (and laptop), I found the answers in this very forum!

Have been trying to apply r8 to my Vega for a few days now, managed to discover recovery mode and how to access is, flashed stock 1.10 without a hitch, but could I get MCR on it? NOPE! I had a feeling it was a USB driver issue and being fairly computer literate I was getting extremely frustrated at my inability to get it to do what I knew it should be doing. Then I happened upon a guide wich I followed to the letter and it worked first time!

I noticed that others seemed to be having similar issues to me so I thought I would share my experiences for those still struggling.

The guides are:

Windows XP: http://android.modaco.com/index.php?act=at...st&id=70546

Vista/7: http://android.modaco.com/index.php?act=at...st&id=70877

Follow them to the letter and it will work :)

A huge thanks to the author, and to this site, I now have a functioning and useful tablet! Note to Paul, consider pinning these links, I'm sure it will save some people a lot of time and frustration.

Thanks for listening.....

Yes, I agree too - I was in the same boat maybe 2 months ago and followed many tutorials and tips on this forum without any luck (or comprehension).

Than I stumbled up upon this guide... :)
