Guest Rob Watson Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 You can tether your phone to act as router. You can then connect to your phone from your Vega when you have no wi-fi. Your vega will see it as another wireless connection although you will be using your phones 3g.
Guest d1dd1 Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Yes , I have the same setup running. Just create a Wifi Hotspot (Tethering) with your GalaxyS and connect to it with your VEGA No problems here (Galaxy S I9000 with CM7 + Viewpad 10s (Advent Vega) with VEGACOMB 1.6)

Guest Unipete Posted June 28, 2011 Report Posted June 28, 2011 Go into the settings on your phone and choose 'wireless and networks' then activate 'portable wifi'. If you are with 3 then they don't charge for tethering if you have an internet allowance in your plan. If you are with vodafone, O2 or orange etc, it might be a different story. Check with your service provider is my advice.
Guest manabout-thehouse.co.uk Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Oops! Too late with that reply! maby not did not think about charges. may thanks Mike
