Hi,

What steps have you taken so far?

There are probably a few ways to get market, but I would suggest the aim is to root your Vega and install a custom ROM that has market already included.

For a begginer I would suggest using the Modaco kitchen ROMs, the latest one will be in a topic pinned to the top of the device forum.

What sort of setup will you be using to do the install? By that I mean can you copy files to SD card with computer and can you connect your Vega to a computer with the usb cable to use adb?

Steven.

Take a deep breath & re-read the instructions to install the MoDaCo MCR8 ROM.

Installation

To install this ROM (without using ClockworkMod recovery):

Ensure you have USB debugging enabled on your device (enabled in Settings->Applications->Development)

If you are using Windows, your USB 'Android Developer Bridge' driver MUST be the one included in this download (use 'Have Disk' functionality in device manager to change if required)

Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and extract on your Windows PC, Linux PC or Mac

Connect your device to your PC

At a command prompt / terminal, ensure you are in the directory you extracted the files, and run 'install-windows.bat', './install-linux.sh' or './install-mac.sh' as appropriate

Wait for your device to reboot!

You don't need root; you don't need ClockWorkMod just a bit of patience. The most common problem is the installation of the USB drivers so download the AUDI tool from the forum.

If you are still having problems, talk us through the steps above and what the outcome of these are and we'll try and help.

hi . i hope this will help . try slideme marketplace or androidpit these apps are free , not as good as android market but its a start. you need to download and install these first ,just as you would with any windows programs. and just keep reading these forums and you will learn how to install ,but be patient you will get there in the end .i personally would start by learning to make asystem backup for the vega and how to install the vega companion tool. please can you let me know how you get on.
