Severe Battery Drain when device switched off

Hi,

I am seeing severe battery drain when the device is switched off (not in standby but really off). This is worrying.

For example, when I switch the device off with 70% battery power remaining and switch it on 8 hours later, the remaining power has dropped to 20%.

Is this normal?

Could a rogue process be running even when the device is switched off?

I had this problem and was able to boot into recovery and reset the battery stats which resolve it.

If you charge it up over night then boot into recovery (clockworkmod) then reset the battery stats, let it drain then fully charge again..... i think thats it

This is not a real drop in battery charge, it is just a symptom of the useless battery level meter. It is a well known and common issue, discussed many times on this forum, eg. a good thread is here.

In short, your vega still has the advertised battery life.
