Guest Taptap1 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 The loudness of earphones is measured in Dezibel, but high amount of Dezibel can make the earphones loud on your TV or whatever, but don't mean loud on your blade. Because each earphone has it's own impedance, the impedance is like blocking some power of your blade. And because of small electronic things like Blade, iPod or whatever have not as power as a TV they can NOT over go a high impedance. Things like Volume+ can higher the power which the blade gives to a certain maximum Level. I hope I could help and clear up a bit.
Guest q123456 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 it's pretty obvious you will not attach 250Ohm headphone to your blade, but even my 32Ohm Senns hd201 are too silent. Programs like VOlume+ could increase volume, but also distorts audio. Long story short: Wanna good sounding DAP, you'll need to buy something dedicated. Blade is awful as a mp3 player. Saying that, i am still using it as my mp3 player mainly becouse my iriver clix died Clix>>>>>>>Sans Clip>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Blade = cheap chinese mp3 players
Guest mcfischsam Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 i have very good volume on my blade. i'm using ginger stir fry and sony in-ears i bought a year ago for 10€ or sth. i have media volume always turned less then half way, because if i turn it all the way up, i will hurt my ears :) i can confirm, that on ginger stir fry, volume is louder than on jj9 or ss5
Guest sumdumguy Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 ginger sounds the same as all the rest to me... waaaaay to quiet as said above volume+ helps a bit, but distorts and still isn't loud enough
Guest shad0wboss Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 if you guys just want to play mp3 then get yourself powerAMP because it improves the mp3 quality and makes the sound louder...

Guest targetbsp Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 (edited) I've never felt the need to use Poweramp at max volume so yeah it's loud enough for me (though only by a couple of steps!) I certainly disagree that it's an 'awful mp3 player'. It's consigned my ipod to a drawer. Edited June 30, 2011 by targetbsp
Guest evilbrain Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 i have thomson in-ears for less than 10 euros and volume +. Tuned it up for my songs and all I can say is that sound, quality and bass are AMAZING

Not very detailed sound, sound is like..uhm, castrated, has no energy, no fun It is almost acceptable with sennheiser mx300 (after playing with EQ), not good with Philips SHP 5401. Too quiet with Senns hd201 In a few days i should get shure se210 maybe with them will be better Edited June 30, 2011 by q123456
