Guest rovix Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Hi, I am going to buy a tablet for my son. After search, Vega is the best price with very reasonable spec. Because my son is pre-school, the tablet is for him to read educational books, watch kid video and play games, and I expect him to use it multiple hours each time. One thing I concern is the temperature because the cover is made of plastic instead of metal. Can you please share the experience what the temperature is (warm, hot, comfortable/uncomfortable) after hours of usage? Thanks in advance, Rovi
Guest trevor432990 Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Hi there .... the Vega can get warm at times but never found it getting too hot like a laptop can. I'd suggest you buy him a Vega cover with built-in stand so that it is protected and cool as it is not being held by him all the time. :)

Mildly warm in normal use and getting slightly warmer when recharging.
Guest rovix Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Thanks a lot for the replies! Has anyone use it for whole day without shuting down? I wonder how stable it is after long hours of usage? Thanks, Rovi
Guest cjtkd Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Thanks a lot for the replies! Has anyone use it for whole day without shuting down? I wonder how stable it is after long hours of usage? Thanks, Rovi By all day I take it you mean putting it into standby from time to time!? If so, yes its stable BUT I guess that would depend on what you are running really.
Guest warriorscot Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Once ran it for 6 hours playing a game that had it pretty much maxed performance with an overclockers. Got warm but was totally stable, plastic is better in this regard as hot spots are more common in all metal devices because of its better conductivity.
Guest rovix Posted July 7, 2011 Report Posted July 7, 2011 Thanks a lot for all the kindly reply, now I am comfortable to get one for my son :)
