(ask) Removing the clock from notification bar

hi everyone, straight to the topic.

I really want to remove the clock from the notification bar but can anyone help me how to do it.

I found some flashable zip file from other phone which i really would love to give a try but my Clock Recovery wouldn't let me.

Anyone done it yet?

There is an option in the cyanogenmod rom to do this. (Settings>CyanogenMod settings>Interface>Status bar tweaks>Show clock) Untick to disable clock.

Thank you for your information but as you can see that i'm running a ZTE "N"880 and it's a CDMA version for the Blade.

I'm running stock rooted FroYo ROM so i guess i just have to look for a recovery that can flash an amend method zip files as the Clockwork Recovery can't do it.

I found some flashable zip files that i would like to try but i can't find the right recovery to do it :)

Try clockwork 2.5.1.8, newer versions of clockwork don't support amend scripting but older ones do. theres a thread somewhere around here which has a link

edit: I don't think there are any gen2 versions, try looking inside the update.zip and replace the file manually with es file explorer or root explorer.

Remember to do a nandroid backup.
