Those awfully clever developers at XDA have released TexTab app that allows you to link phone & tablet via Bluetooth. You can then use the tablet to send / receive messages...pretty clever. This might not suit all but my phone is quite often in the hall / kitchen charging (or in my jacket pocket) whereas the Vega is normally mounted in the kitchen or with me elsewhere.

Apology grudgingly accepted - once you get to the point where children are no longer screaming at you to get up, lie ins can be wonderful!
