Guest Uppy Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 Just as the title says. I have a Gen1 phone converted to Gen2 running cyanogenmod7 and if I attempt to overclocked my phone even to 690mhz it freezes every 5 or 10 minutes. anyone else had this problem? if so did you find a fix?
Guest targetbsp Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 You might just be unlucky and have a CPU that doesn't clock very far - they're only rated to 600. How is it at a speed between 600 and 690?
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 There are a few blades that can't go higher than 652000
Guest Uppy Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 it overclocks fine up to there but I wanted to push it so I could play nova. typical.
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 (edited) Mine can't got higher than 672. You'll just have to get over it, your are unlucky. There isn't much you can do about it. Nova plays fine on mine though, on Cm7 with some other tweaks. (there is a thread about them). Nova 2 doesn't really work on mine though :) Edited July 2, 2011 by Mushroom_Lord
Guest Uppy Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 yeah I'd say that's my limit too. it can go up to 690 but it will crash several times a day. I want Nova. I got Nova 2 kinda working but no overclocking means it doesn't run well
Guest hugobosslives Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 unlucky m8. but you can only really notice oc improvements in games. for me oc is a must for many gameloft games which is why I currently can't play them as I'm messing around with the new. 35 kernel/rom leak. tho for usual use rom tweaks make a much bigger difference than oc can.
Guest swisstourist Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 when they build processor, all come from the same disc, but each processor react differently after being cut. to go around this, the "cap" them to a lower speed even if some can go to higher speed. and it gives an extra margin in case of overheating. i guess this come from the quality of the processor, one dust only, and the processor run slower. so you just have to be lucky! mine go to 782mghz
Guest mcfly666 Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 mine go to 782mghz Megagigahertz = Impressive
Guest swisstourist Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 Megagigahertz = Impressive ah, mhz!!! sorry!!!
