The update is comming this fall. That is a long wait. What do you think? I think thats OK. At the very least we have a OK version of Froyo, and it's fast. But of course a updated phone would be excellent. To bad low ends phone's gets if before our high end. Edit: Oh, and I dont think I'll buy another LG phone again. You understand why. :) Edited July 4, 2011 by sckank
Guest alvari Posted July 4, 2011 Report Posted July 4, 2011 Sucks. I'll probably end up getting a N9 before the gingerbread is released for O2X

How about consider a alternate kernel with 2.3.4 gingerbread, been testing a few things and with a kernel for 2.3.4 the random reboots stopt, before I had random reboots up to several times each day......maybe paul will make a stable kernel for the vanilla and the kitchens :-) Keep up the good work Paul:)
Guest Jay-V Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 For me it's OK. Surely a faster roll out would have been good - especially because LG promoted it early - but Froyo is running great here. Either Stock or Paul's FR series. Everything is working (I can phone, SMS, listen to music, watch videos, navigate etc.) and what is more, I do not have any of the issues (reboot, shut down) mentioned everywhere in the forums. Thank God! And this might also be the reason why it is OK for me.
