Hi,

First post ! I picked up my vega about 2 hours ago, was the only one currys had left and when I went to collect it the guy said it's a return due to not having android marketplace on it, fair enough and i got a discount.

Problem is, i have installed R8 with no problems and if i check 'accounts and sync' tab it only shows my email account, however if I click either the mail or email tabs on the homescreen it opens up the email account of the guy who bought it first and every now and again it pops up saying new email as its still logged into his account.

How can I get rid of his account and change it to display mine when the email tab is tapped ?

Shoddy work by curry's, you'd have thought they would have cleaned it before re-sale.

did you put the r8 on via clockwork mod? im *fairly* sure doing a factory reset from inside clockwork mod wipes the email account settings

No, did not use the clockwork mod, just downloaded R8 and then ran the installer until the vega rebooted. installing R8 took me literally minutes, so could I just factory restore it and then reinstall R8, or is that not possible now R8 is on there ?

You wouldn’t even need to do a reinstall

Boot to recovery (there is a really useful program to put clockwork recovery on your vega for you search the forum for a link) do the factory reset and when you reboot it should be just like a brand new fresh install (any apps you installed will be gone and whatnot) and the first time you boot you should be able to enter your email details (and the previous ones should be gone)

R8 will still be on there
