Guest deepmenace Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 Most seem quite a hefty drag on the CPU but i've recently found this sweet one - Pixel Rain. When you take the settings down it seems the smallest impact on responsiveness that i've seen from a live wallpaper on my blade. i also like the fact that it is very minimal - most live wallpaper is a bit intrusive. https://market.android.com/details?id=gille...e=search_result anyone else got any nice quick live wallpaper suggestions?
Guest Atomix86 Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 Which launcher are you using? I found that using LauncherPro helps with live wallpapers.
Guest deepmenace Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 Which launcher are you using? Guest damiensturdy Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 [Toots own horn] I released a screensaver last week designed to extend from low to high end devices. Fleurescent Wallpaper Lite. https://market.android.com/details?id=uk.co...e=search_result You can control FPS (Battery usage), Detail- (Number of points drawn), and plot size- I can have it on mid settings comfortably on the Blade, and if I have a long day ahead of me, I can lower the FPS and detail levels to save battery- but from what people have said it doesn't seem to drain much anyway, and somehow on my girlfriends X10, it seems to use less battery power than the SonyEricsson default wallpaper. Doesn't seem possible, so I've ignored that occurance. The lite version limits available settings. If you like, please buy- because I (quite honestly...) can't pay all my bills this month. lol. :-) Anyway, hope you like it. :-) [/Toots own horn]
Guest slitz Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 The PSP styled XMB live wallpaper worked pretty good for me the last time I was on CM7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1025087

I have not, I only installed it once back when I was using MCR 2.2 and found it to be a little laggy, sorry I can't help with that.
Guest views Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 I'm currently alternating between 3D FireFlies and Blue Skies Live Wallpapers. Both are great. Can be very laggy though. :)

Guest Tajel Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Super Clock Wallpaper Pro https://market.android.com/details?id=mx.li...e=search_result
Guest shmizan Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 the stock Gingerbread launcher lags the less with live wallpapers..
Guest KenBW2 Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 ADW (or is it AWD, can never remember) Launcher has an option to not have the wallpaper slide when you switch screens, which helped a lot with Advanced Map Like Wallpaper
Guest Mushroom_Lord Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Even if the wallpaper isn't very cpu/gpu intesive, it will still slow the launcher down at least, because Android has to (I don't know how to put this) identify it as a live wallpaper and use resources for that...(sorry that not really what I mean but I can't put it any other way atm :) )
